Xos Delivers Test Vehicles to UniFirst

Xos Inc., a Los Angeles-based manufacturer of fully electric Classes 5-8 commercial vehicles, announced it signed an agreement to deliver three Xos electric step vans to UniFirst Corp. in a test program with potential for additional vehicle purchases for use across the United States.

“Partnering with UniFirst is an important step forward in our long-term growth plans to expand electric delivery trucks into novel market segments while supporting fleet operators in a diverse set of industries across the country,” said Giordano Sordoni, Xos’ co-founder and chief operating officer.

Wilmington, Mass.-based UniFirst manufactures its own branded workwear, protective clothing and floor care products.

With 260 service locations, over 300,000 customer locations and 14,000 employees, the company says it outfits more than 2 million workers each business day. — Transport Topics
