Hull Street Energy has closed a $160 million financing for its 855 MW Milepost Power Texas portfolio known as Mesquite Generation.

The plants in the Mesquite portfolio are located in Bastrop and Paris, Texas, and provide power generation and reliability services to the Texas grid. Proceeds will be used to fund reserves, expenses, and distributions to investors, the company said.

Earlier this year, Hull Street Energy acquired the Bastrop Energy Center and Paris Energy Center power plants from Mesquite Generation Holdings, an affiliate of Atlas Holdings. The two gas-fired facilities provide a combined 855 MW of electricity to the ERCOT grid.

Following this acquisition, Hull Street Energy purchased Sunrise Power Holdings, a 586 MW California facility, bringing its total gas-fired and dual-fueled generation capacity to 2.3 GW.
