Clarion Energy is pleased to announce Alex Glenn, Senior V.P. and CEO for Duke Energy Florida and Midwest, will be one of several elite-level keynote speakers taking the Grand Stage at POWERGEN 2023, alongside top utility and industry thinkers.

Glenn joins Jan Aspuru, Chief Operating Officer of the Orlando Utilities Commission; José N. Reyes, co-founder of small modular reactor company NuScale Power; and best-selling author and megatrends expert Andrew Winston at this year’s keynote.

Glenn has responsibility for regulatory and legislative affairs – and for the long-term strategic direction, growth and overall financial performance of Duke Energy’s regulated utilities in Florida, Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky.

He has been with Duke Energy since 1996, having served in various leadership positions. He served as state president of Duke Energy’s utility operations in Florida, serving approximately 1.7 million electric retail customers in central Florida, including metropolitan St. Petersburg, Clearwater and the Greater Orlando area. In a previous role as general counsel for the Florida utility operations, Glenn oversaw all regulatory matters affecting the Florida utility.

The POWERGEN International keynote will be held Tuesday, February 21, 2023, from 8:30 AM – 10:00 AM ET in the Valencia Ballroom at the Orange County Convention Center. Register for the show.
